Laid off from Agilent Technologies.

Each fiscal year since 2023 has brought Agilent a new restructuring plan, named for the year it began, and the latest two were aimed at its management structure. Its filings also show what a layoff there could carry, from a 2025 severance formula to the rules for unvested stock.

The most recent Agilent Technologies layoff we've found

Agilent put a new restructuring plan in place during its fiscal quarter ending July 31, 2026, a workforce reduction that its 10-Q for that quarter describes, like the fiscal 2025 plan before it, as aimed at optimizing its management structure.

What Agilent Technologies layoffs have meant for employees

What changed across Agilent's four plans is what it said they were for, and the restructuring footnote in its 2025 annual report lays the shift out plan by plan. The 2023 and 2024 plans were designed to reduce costs in response to macroeconomic conditions, and they came with headcounts, about 400 and then about 500 regular employees; Agilent says every workforce action and payment under both is finished. The 2025 and 2026 plans were designed to optimize its management structure to better serve customers, and the notes on them in that annual report and the July 2026 10-Q give purpose, dollars and timing but no headcount, share of the workforce or place. The fiscal 2025 plan's expected finish has moved, too, from the second quarter of fiscal 2026 in the annual report to the end of fiscal 2026 in the 10-Q. If you were cut under one of those later plans, the expense totals in those two notes can't be read as a count of the people cut or a map of where they worked.

The severance formula on file is a dated version. It's the one a March 2025 retention agreement attached for a single executive, as the Workforce Management Program stood that day, and it grows with service only up to a point. Under it, anyone with four years or fewer lands at the two-month minimum plus the three added months, five months of base pay in all, and the service part stops growing at 12 years, where the total reaches nine months. Eight years works out to seven. If a package reaches you on different terms, how severance agreements get negotiated covers the points people have pushed on.

The smaller pieces of that version carry conditions of their own. Outplacement through a firm Agilent chooses runs up to three months, has to be started within a month of the termination date and can't be traded for cash. The job search benefit is for the costs of looking for work outside the company, and someone covered by the Agilent Results Bonus program could be eligible for a pro-rated bonus where the Workforce Management Program in question provided for one. The health expense benefit is intended for health-care costs, including the extra plan premiums a separation can bring, so if you're pricing continued coverage, how COBRA continuation works has the rest of that math.

Agilent's employee stock award forms bear on anyone weighing whether to leave before a cut reaches them. Under its 2025 award form, a resignation forfeits unvested stock awards unless the employee is at least 60 and their age plus years of service reach 75, and even then the awards keep their normal vesting dates, so leaving on your own ahead of a cut can cost the unvested balance. The costs Agilent booked for its 2023 and 2024 plans list accelerated share-based compensation expense right beside severance.

Agilent's late-2023 California notices show up by street address in the state's WARN report. The notices that October and November named 5301 Stevens Creek Boulevard in Santa Clara, 11011 North Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla and 6779 Mesa Ridge Road in San Diego, and the state listed every one as a permanent layoff, with effective dates running from December 1, 2023 to January 26, 2024. If one of those buildings was where you worked, or you were at another California site in a later round, how California unemployment works sets out the state's claim steps and weekly amounts.

What to do if you're laid off from Agilent Technologies

Agilent Technologies layoff and severance questions

What severance has Agilent given laid-off employees?

Agilent's Workforce Management Program, applicable to all employees according to its 2026 proxy statement, is intended to give people affected by restructuring transition income in the form of severance benefits. Its terms as of March 2025, attached to a retention agreement Agilent filed for one executive, set the payment at half of a month's base pay for each full-time-equivalent year of service, between two and six months, plus three months more, and the agreement refers to an obligation to sign a release to receive the benefits.

What happens to my stock if I'm laid off from Agilent?

If you lose your job in a reduction in force under Agilent's Workforce Management Program, its 2023 award form and 2025 award form both vest stock awards granted on them in full. For grants made on or after November 18, 2025, that vesting depends on your signing the company's general release and its taking effect within 60 days of your termination, with shares issued within 74 days of that date. If you're deciding whether to sign, those grants' vesting is part of what turns on it.
