Laid off from Revvity.
Revvity's filings have stated its company-wide cuts as percentages of a workforce mostly outside the United States. Its U.S. layoff notices on record since 2025 come from Massachusetts, where it set out to consolidate sites at its Hopkinton campus and the state listed updates as counts and dates moved.

- 759 Revvity employees in Massachusetts in April 2025, by the Boston Business Journal's count
The most recent Revvity layoff we've found
On September 25, 2026, Massachusetts listed a third version of Revvity's Lawrence WARN notice, covering 53 jobs, with layoffs scheduled from December 9, 2025 through June 30, 2027.
What Revvity layoffs have meant for employees
Before 2025, Revvity described its severance as immaterial to its overall workforce; its 10-K says so of the restructurings in 2023 and 2024. For 2025 the same filing put a number on it, a share of the whole workforce, and restructuring costs rose with it, as the filing's cost table shows. The quarterly 10-Q then gave another share for the six months to July 5, 2026. Those shares describe a company of about 11,000 people in roughly 40 countries, some 80% of them based outside the United States. A company-wide percentage like that won't show whether your own team was in it.
The company gave the program an end date. A spokesperson told GenomeWeb in January that the measures started in the latter half of 2025, on top of restructuring it did in 2024, and would continue through mid-2026; that 2024 restructuring, GenomeWeb noted, had included footprint consolidation, logistics and vendor consolidation. Revvity's J.P. Morgan presentation that month listed headcount rationalization and footprint consolidation among its efficiency work since becoming Revvity, with 30+ sites affected by downsizing, co-location and closures. Chief Financial Officer Maxwell Krakowiak said on the May 5 earnings call that the cost actions were to be finished by the close of the second quarter, and he attributed most of the savings to head count, through further integrations, new centers of excellence and the delayering of management. That end date belongs to the program; the Massachusetts closings run on schedules of their own.
In Massachusetts the closings came with relocation offers for most of the staff, a company spokesperson said in comments to the Boston Business Journal that Boston Real Estate Times carried. The first Boston and Lawrence notices covered 125 jobs between them, our sum of the Journal's figures as NBC Boston and Boston Real Estate Times carried them, or about a sixth of the 759 people the Journal counted at Revvity in Massachusetts in April 2025. At Boston, the letter scheduled most separations for April through December 2026. Massachusetts then posted each change to the two notices as its own entry in the state's WARN filings, moving Lawrence's start earlier and its end into 2027, and the Boston letter, as The Patriot Ledger described it, was to keep one employee on until around August 2028 to oversee decommissioning, including the disposal of radioactive materials. If you're working from a date in an early Revvity notice, a later entry for the same site can carry a different one. For a job that was in Massachusetts, the state's claim process is set out under Massachusetts unemployment benefits.
Revvity's 10-K says labor union and works council agreements influence the terms and conditions of employment contracts for about 4,000 employees at several of its subsidiaries outside the United States. In March 2026, according to EUROIMMUN's works council, up to 550 of about 2,150 jobs in and around Lübeck could go under a restructuring program called Next Level Euroimmun, the German trade outlet Transkript reported. That number is the council's estimate. EUROIMMUN is one of the brands in Revvity's diagnostics business. If your contract is one of the roughly 4,000 the filing describes, the union or works council agreement is part of what influenced its terms and conditions.
Every U.S. notice on record for the company since 2022, in California and Massachusetts, has been for closing a whole site rather than trimming staff at one; the first Boston notice covered all 74 employees at the South End facility, the Journal reported. If you're leaving with a balance in Revvity's savings plan, the choices for that money are laid out under retirement savings after a layoff.
A sourced history of Revvity layoffs
First half of 2026, more severance actions company-wide
Severance actions affected about 5% of Revvity's workforce in the half-year to July 5, and its quarterly 10-Q ties them to consolidating facilities and cutting costs.
January 2026, roughly 10% headcount cut set out
Revvity's efficiency measures would bring an overall headcount reduction of roughly 10%, CEO Prahlad Singh said at the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, as GenomeWeb reported; he pointed to integrating acquired companies and de-layering management.
2025, company-wide severance actions
In 2025, severance from facility consolidations and cost cuts reached about 5% of the company's workforce, according to the 10-K for 2025.
October 2025, Lawrence site closing
Revvity told Massachusetts on October 8 that it would close its Lawrence facility at 360 Merrimack St., affecting 51 employees, according to Boston Business Journal reporting carried by Boston Real Estate Times. Later WARN filings list 52 in December and 53 in September 2026.
September 2025, Boston South End site closing
Revvity told Massachusetts it would close its South End facility at 549 Albany St., and The Patriot Ledger listed chemists, physicists, equipment engineers and material handlers among the affected workers. The first notice listed 74 jobs; later WARN filings list 76, then 29.
April 2022, Valencia public health laboratory closing
PerkinElmer Health Sciences, now Revvity Health Sciences, filed California WARN notices for a permanent closing at the state public health department's laboratory in Valencia, listing 75 jobs on an April notice and 76 on a May one, both effective June 4.
What to do if you're laid off from Revvity
- File for unemployment in the state where you worked. Benefits run from your filing date, and severance usually doesn't block you. Revvity's biggest hubs: Massachusetts. Somewhere else? Every state is here.
- Apply for financial and hardship assistance. Unemployment supplements income, but food benefits, health coverage and utility help are often available as well. Here's some of what Revvity's hub states run: Massachusetts, and every other state is here.
- Mind the health insurance window. Losing coverage opens a 60-day special enrollment period, and an ACA plan usually beats unsubsidized COBRA. Compare your options before the employer coverage lapses, and read how the COBRA clocks run if you are weighing it seriously.
- Get your real runway number. Severance plus savings divided by reality. The calculator takes five minutes.
- Know which clocks are already running. Severance review windows, COBRA election, visa grace periods, and 401(k) rollovers all run on federal deadlines that started at termination. All five deadlines are here.
Revvity layoff and severance questions
What severance has Revvity given laid-off employees?
Revvity's 10-K and the reporting on its Massachusetts notices give no severance formula or per-person amount for the cuts since 2025. The Boston letter promised each affected employee at least two months' written notice and said no bumping rights would be granted, The Patriot Ledger reported, and no Boston employee was represented by a union, per a Boston Business Journal report. If you hold a balance in the Revvity, Inc. Savings Plan, its 2025 plan statements say active participants are vested immediately in company contributions.
Is Revvity laying off employees in 2026?
Yes, by the company's own count. About 5% of Revvity's workforce was affected by severance actions in the first two quarters of 2026, its 10-Q says, and the Massachusetts closing notices, as later updated in the WARN filings, schedule layoffs into 2027.
Is Revvity the same company as PerkinElmer?
It's the same company under a new name. In 2023 it sold its Applied, Food and Enterprise Services businesses and agreed to stop using the PerkinElmer brand and transfer it to the buyer, its 10-K says, and its January 2026 presentation lists PerkinElmer as its legacy brand. So a 2025 Connecticut WARN notice filed by PerkinElmer U.S. LLC in Shelton isn't Revvity's; that entity was a party to the 2023 sale.
Why is Revvity closing its Boston and Lawrence sites?
The aim was to consolidate operations from the Lawrence and Boston sites into the Hopkinton campus and streamline the company's footprint, as a Revvity spokesperson put it to the Boston Business Journal, whose report Boston Real Estate Times picked up. The spokesperson said most employees at the affected sites were being offered relocation and stressed a commitment to supporting staff through the transition.
