Laid off from QVC Group.
QVC Group has repeatedly cut jobs by folding operations together and closing the sites left behind. After buying HSN, it moved to merge their warehouses, and in 2025 it closed HSN's Florida campus, with some staff slated to stay for months to help move the work to West Chester.

- 1,124 Lancaster distribution center jobs set to end in phases from July 2020

The most recent QVC Group layoff we've found
QVC Group came out of Chapter 11 on August 6, 2026, owned by its revolving-credit lenders and QVC noteholders, its emergence 8-K said. On August 21 it decided to eliminate the president roles over its QxH and Growth businesses in what its August 27 8-K called an operational realignment.
What QVC Group layoffs have meant for employees
QVC Group's purchase of HSN runs through its record. In the cuts that followed it in 2018, HSN's president said Qurate remained committed to the HSN brand and its St. Petersburg campus, the St. Pete Catalyst reported, while the same plan combined the two companies' warehouses, closing QVC's Lancaster center and HSN's in Roanoke, according to WITF. In 2025 the company closed the St. Petersburg campus too and moved its work to Studio Park in West Chester, Pennsylvania, according to its 2025 10-K. If your workplace duplicates another QVC Group site, a public commitment to the building is worth weighing against what happened in St. Petersburg.
Planned closings at QVC Group have come in stages, and the gap between a plan and a last day can run long. Lancaster's closing was announced in October 2018, but its layoffs weren't set to begin until July 2020, WITF reported, and HSN's St. Petersburg cuts came under two Florida notices filed in March and May 2025. Rocky Mount was different, since a fire shut it and QVC then chose not to rebuild, ABC11 reported. If your site is named in a consolidation plan, it's worth asking which date your pay and benefits run to, since the plan, the notice and the last day can sit far apart. If you're asked to stay for a later phase and offered separation benefits, you can ask the company to confirm in writing whether those benefits depend on staying and what happens if a new job comes first.
Moves inside the company have been on offer at some closings. Lancaster's staff were to be offered reassignment, and after the fire Rocky Mount's could apply for internal roles at other locations, ABC11 reported. If a transfer is offered alongside a severance package, it's worth asking whether taking one changes the other. If a package you're offered mentions COBRA, it's worth asking how long any reduced rate lasts and what the premium becomes after it, and there's more on how COBRA works. The 2023 package also extended access to the employee assistance program, Retail Dive reported, so if you're offered one, you can ask whether that access continues and for how long. If you're offered outplacement, the same question about when it ends applies, and if you're weighing a package, there's more on negotiating severance.
The bankruptcy reached people who had already left, too. The plan the court approved had QVC Group assume the employment-related agreements it held with current and former employees on April 16, 2026, or replace them with new ones, except where the plan says otherwise, according to the confirmation order. If you were being paid severance under an agreement signed before that date, you can ask the company in writing which of the two applied to yours. Operations outside the U.S. weren't part of the case, its April 16 release said. Equity fared worse, since the old company's shares and awards were canceled when the plan took effect, the emergence 8-K says.
If you were based at Studio Park in West Chester or at the Bethlehem fulfillment center, Pennsylvania's benefit rules are at Pennsylvania unemployment benefits, and HSN's former St. Petersburg staff can find Florida's at Florida unemployment benefits. The home and apparel brands, Ballard Designs, Frontgate, Garnet Hill and Grandin Road, had about 1,600 employees on December 31, 2025 and 35 stores around the country, and for those jobs and QVC Group sites in other states, the state-by-state benefit rules lay out each state's terms.

QVC Group layoff and severance questions
What severance has QVC Group given laid-off employees?
QVC Group's reported packages have paired severance with outplacement. The 2018 cuts brought severance payments and some continued benefits, the St. Pete Catalyst reported, the 2023 round extended COBRA at the team-member rate, per Retail Dive, and the 2025 reorganization offered separation benefits, according to a March 2025 Retail Dive story. None of those reports put a figure or formula on the pay, so if you're handed an offer, it's worth asking how its amount is figured.
Did QVC Group plan layoffs as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy?
QVC Group's April 16, 2026 release said there were no planned layoffs or furloughs tied to the financial restructuring and that team members should expect their wages and benefits without interruption. It also said it had filed customary motions asking the court to keep paying U.S. employee wages and benefits during the case.
What happened to QVC Group stock and RSUs in the bankruptcy?
When the plan took effect August 6, 2026, all shares of the old QVC Group and its outstanding equity awards were canceled for no value, the emergence 8-K said. RSUs granted during 2025 had already been canceled and replaced with a cash award, according to the 2025 10-K. If you held 2025 RSUs, it's worth asking how that cash award pays out if your job ends.
